Comparison method
The table further down this page exists to make a planning decision, not to sell a room. Every row is built from the same five fields so you can read down a column instead of comparing brochures.
Price bands are planning ranges in US dollars per night, shown for a standard double occupancy stay in the shoulder and high seasons. They are illustrative bands, not live quotes: rates move with dates, room categories, meal plans and availability, and they are confirmed only after a shortlist is matched to your travel window.
Resort selection starts from your non-negotiables, meaning transfer tolerance, board basis, reef access and budget ceiling. Accommodation comparison then puts the surviving properties side by side on those same four fields, so a cheaper nightly band never hides a longer seaplane leg.

Choose how you want to arrive and how you want to eat. The rows respond instantly; price bands stay illustrative planning ranges that we re-check against live availability for your dates.
Resort comparison
Illustrative planning bands in USD per night for resort selection, not live rates. Confirm availability and transfer schedules before booking.
Atoll and emirate notes
These are the notes we keep beside the shortlist. They describe how you actually reach the water, not how a brochure frames it. Timings are illustrative: they move with flight schedules, sea state and each resort's cut-off times.
Transfer sequencing sits in the logistics notes. Ready to fix dates? Send your brief.
Transfers and logistics
The windows below come from published schedules and past arrival patterns. No time is guaranteed. Weather, daylight limits, immigration queues and your actual flight movement decide the final sequence, and we confirm it in writing before you pay for anything.
25-45 min airborne daylight only
The fastest option for resorts far from Male. Seaplanes stop flying before dusk, so a late landing usually means an overnight near the airport and a morning flight out. Soft bags are weighed, and the usual allowance sits near 20-25 kg per guest.
45-90 min on water runs after dark
Boats work around the clock on the closer atolls, which suits night arrivals. Crossing time grows with swell between May and November, and the ride is genuinely bumpy on exposed routes.
55 min flight, 20-40 min boat two legs
Used for the southern atolls. Two legs mean two sets of delays, so we build a buffer into the arrival day rather than promising a same-day check-in.
75-120 min by car Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah
No water leg, no daylight limit. Peak-hour traffic around Dubai can add 30 minutes, so we schedule pickups against your flight rather than a fixed clock time.
Next step
Tell us your dates, travellers, board basis and budget band. You receive a written comparison of two or three resorts with seaplane or speedboat timing attached, so the decision rests on logistics rather than brochure photographs.
